J&R stands for founders Joe and Rachelle Friedman, who established the company in 1971. Today, the J&R covers a massive city block across from City Hall Park in the heart of Downtown Manhattan.

Parking :
Customers enjoy two free hours of parking at the Ann Street Parking (located on Ann Street between Nassau and William Streets) when they spend $200 or more at the store.
