“Re-Creating Radio” is a two-hour workshop where children ages nine and older produce an old-time radio drama using scripts, sound effects, and music. The workshop takes participants through the many stages of radio production, including casting, microphone and sound effects training, and a cue rehearsal, before they put on a "live" broadcast.

Today’s show will be "Robin Hood & Terrible Tom".

Tickets are $10 per participant and must be purchased in advance of the workshop date by calling (212) 621-6600.

The Big Bike Day

Among the highlights: the Junior Science Club rolls with "Gears & Simple Machines" for children ages 8 to 13; John Tetz, a retired designer, will discuss alternative transport; the Staten Island Bicycle Association will conduct a "Cycling Talk & Workshop"; and a Dada inspired bicycle will be unveiled.

Gustafer Yellowgold's Mellow Sensation

Multi-media wizard/illustrator/songwriter Morgan Taylor conceived this family stage musical affording audiences a chance to immerse themselves in the rather quirky world of our little yellow friend from the sun, Gustafer Yellowgold.

As with all Gustafer Yellowgold shows, "Mellow Sensation" is narrated with live songs and stories performed by Taylor, accompanying his trademark "musical moving book" of giant, projected, animated illustrations.

KinderGarden: Trees & Saplings

The band will take you on a Magical Mystery Tour beginning in 1964 complete with mop top hair, black suits with thin ties and the 1st four albums of music. Next stop, 1967, features the psychedelic era of "Sergeant Pepper Lonely Hearts Club Band" album with all the costumes & jackets on the album cover. The last stop includes: "White Album", "Abbey Road" and "Let It Be".
